The Department of Justice and Attorney General NSW (DJAG) awarded the Thinc Civic and Public team project management of the Armidale Courthouse redevelopment project. The team has been responsible for managing this project throughout its lifecycle, including design management (in law courts), high level complex stakeholder management, value management, program, cost management and contract administration. The project scope included a local and district court, jury deliberation chambers, offices for the registrar and staff, and facilities for court users. This three-level building includes a basement carpark for staff and a ‘prisoners link’ from the existing police station. Our team was able to successfully resolve a number of issues during the design phase and was able to achieve a sustainable and innovative design that met budget, successfully managed multiple stakeholders on behalf of the client, and limited any interruption of ongoing police operations.
