The Daniel Mannix Building is the proposed centrepiece of the Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) St Patrick’s Campus in Melbourne. The 6 Star Green Star building will offer approximately 13,000sqm of occupied space for collaborative teaching, learning and research areas in Nursing, Midwifery, Exercise Science, Psychology and Occupational Therapy. The building briefed focused on the need to cater for ACU’s projected growth in the next five years and has been designed using industry-leading practices. Thinc’s Education team is offering ACU the full suite of project management services on the project, including the management of stakeholders, the approvals processes, design, contractor procurement and program/budget, contracts administration, and procurement of all fittings and fixtures to the building (including furniture, specialist equipment, and active audio visual elements). Thinc will also manage the transition of staff into the new building, handling the physical relocation of the schools from their existing facilities and also promoting the cultural change necessary for users of the 6 Star Green Star building.
