Thinc Projects has been engaged by the NSW Department of Housing to assist with the delivery of a portion of the 6000 social housing dwellings to be built in NSW as part of the Nation Building and Jobs Plan economic stimulus package. Our contribution has been focused in southern NSW, with the Residential team providing a range of property and management services.
Our role has been divided into three packages of work:
- Assessment and Valuation Services – Thinc Residential is assessing developer tender submissions to sell development sites to Housing NSW, including evaluation of offered sites, through to transactional and due diligence services.
- Development and Project Management Services – Thinc Residential is currently providing a full suite of services for 33 residential apartment developments from project inspection and feasibility, management through the design and approvals stage, and then full delivery services, including superintendency of construction works.
- Acquisition Services – to enable the redevelopment of existing properties in their portfolio, Housing NSW required additional housing stock for the relocation of existing tenants. Our team has been responsible for the identification, negotiation and transaction of a number of existing apartment blocks to provide additional dwellings stock. After purchase we took responsiblity for managing an expedited upgrade program of the dwelling ahead of tenants being moved into the properties.
