Thinc’s Resources team was engaged to provide advice to the Australian Government on the development of a major remote indigenous housing program in the Northern Territory (NT) with a value of $200M. Both the Australian and NT governments were determined to implement a step change improvement in the delivery of housing in remote indigenous communities. Our team advised that the selection of appropriate contracting methodology would be key to the success of the project. Our team then managed a selection process for a consultant to carry out a contracting methodology and program delivery strategy review, and also maintained involvement throughout the review process. As it progressed, the size and scope of the project was increased to $650M. Thinc’s Resources team subsequently successfully managed the resulting restructure of the management arrangements for the program, and we have continued to serve as the key advisor.
