Peninsula Grange Retirement Village

Peninsula Grange Retirement Village

Australian Unity has engaged Thinc’s Retirement Living team on its prestige aged care and retirement living development at Peninsula Grange, Victoria. When complete, this brand new community will contain 278 independent living units (ILUs), a residential aged care facility (RACF) and a community centre. The development will also feature extensive open space, with one third of the site being dedicated to the creation of parks and a large central lake, as well as offering residents access to an extensive network of beachside and lakeside walkways.

Thinc’s Retirement Living team has now overseen the completion of Stage 1 of the ILUs. We have begun working with Australian Unity on the completion of Stage 2 and commencement of Stage 3, as well as completing the first stage of the community centre building and the subdivision’s civil and landscape packages.

Our team has provided strategic advisory services relating to the staging and sequencing of the master development. Our goal has been to maximise return for the lowest acceptable risk to the client, as supported by the available project financing provisions. Thinc’s Retirement Living team has also provided advice on the most effective procurement model for this development, and offered advice on which form of contracting would facilitate the most efficient delivery of each component of the project in line with the staging strategy.

In our capacity as project manager and contract administrator, Thinc’s Retirement Living team is also responsible for the full suite of project services, from design management, through procurement to project delivery. Additionally, we are accountable for managing the client’s objectives and the project drivers, inclusive of cost management, risk management, stakeholder management, quality control and program management.
