Thinc’s Retirement Living team was appointed by Regis to undertake a number of projects across several of their aged care facilities in WA, including the refurbishment of independent living units (ILUs), site demolitions, and accreditation compliance and general capital works.
Our team has project managed the refurbishment 45 ILUs located at Regis’s Hollywood site in Nedlands. We have developed strategies to allow the staged occupation of ILUs and cater for the variable scope of works required within each of the units.
Regis has also engaged our Retirement Living team to handle the demolition of approximately a quarter of the structures located on the Hollywood site. We have also managed the repair and/or replacement of ageing infrastructure – such as lifts, phone and data systems – on a number of other sites.
Additionally, we have been heavily involved in a wide range of general capital works across Regis’s sites, including a community centre, the upgrading of pool facilities and roof replacements. Our work on behalf of Regis has benefited from our team’s ability to forge strong relationships with residents and contractors. This has enabled us to successfully undertake refurbishments and capital works within occupied villages while minimising its impact on existing residents.
