Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Queensland

Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Queensland

Once complete, the $1.2B Sunshine Coast University Hospital will serve as the principal health care hub for the entire Sunshine Coast Local Health District (LHD). The facility will encompass a 738-bed tertiary level hospital which is to be complemented by a state-of-the-art research and academic centre. Our team was engaged by the Queensland Health as clinical advisors (service and facility planning) for the project and will develop output specifications, including the functional design brief. In addition to developing the output specification, our Health Advisory team undertook service planning across the Sunshine Coast LHD in order to define the roles of other regional facilities in Nambour, Noosa, Caloundra and Gympie.
