Sydney Showgrounds Main Arena Redevelopment

Sydney Showgrounds Main Arena Redevelopment

Having successfully delivered a number of projects for the Royal Agricultural Society, Thinc’s Tourism team have been appointed as the project director of the redevelopment of Sydney Showground Main Arena, which is to be the new AFL home ground of the Greater Western Sydney Giants. As such, a new 25,000 capacity stadium (including appropriate corporate capacity) is required by May 2012. This project is complicated by the fact that the existing showground arena must remain available for Sydney’s Royal Easter Show and other events such as the Big Day Out music concert. Works will include service upgrades, new scoreboard, new lighting towers, AFL player facilities, new turf system and associated drainage, ticketing and fencing.
