The Thinc Retail team was engaged by the Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) to project manage the entire Watergardens Entertainment and Leisure Precinct development. This project saw the creation of an open mall environment designed to facilitate dining and entertainment, supported by extensive urban embellishments. The development – known as Station Streat – links the Watergardens Town Centre with the Watergardens (Sydenham) Train Station. Initially engaged at the masterplanning stage, our team was subsequently appointed to provide full project management services, including the coordination of town planning, authority approvals, consultant appointments, design development, contractor appointment and construction phase services. Our team has also been engaged by QIC to provide tenancy coordination services for all precinct tenants. The project required considerable stakeholder and authority engagement and negotiation as the works were undertaken alongside and above Taylors Creek. The development carefully integrates with the adjacent Taylors Creek and Brimbank Council’s Sydenham Interactive Learning Centre (which was also managed by Thinc’s Retail team).
